We were responsible for the art direction of the Origin collection, designed by Mario Ruiz for Point. As Ruiz himself explains, “Origin may seem like a simple collection, and it is—that’s exactly what its design seeks to achieve and elevate. Despite appearances, simplicity is one of the most challenging things to design.” True to the “less is more” philosophy coined by modern architecture pioneer Mies van der Rohe, Ruiz demonstrates that with a few simple strokes, you can go a long way.
The art direction for this collection focused on capturing the understated elegance and minimalist approach that define Origin. Each scene was carefully crafted to emphasize how a discreet gesture in design can create an impactful, lasting impression. The collection’s balance of simplicity and refinement allowed us to create visual compositions that highlight the purity of form and material without unnecessary embellishments, staying true to the core design principles that make Origin both timeless and modern.
